I guided students through developing a gamified mobile application that helps international students explore Vancouver's local culture through location-based challenges and social connectivity features. I mentored the team in defining user goals around cultural learning, social networking, and building a sense of belonging in Vancouver. During the design process, I provided feedback on their challenge-based interaction framework, including location notification systems and journal entry features. I supported their development of social features like friend networks and achievement tracking, helping them balance gamification elements with meaningful cultural exploration. Through iterative design reviews, I helped refine their badge system, leaderboard functionality, and personalized experience logging to create an engaging platform that encourages both individual exploration and community building among international students.
