NestVan
About the project
I guided students through the development of a mobile housing application for international students in Vancouver. I facilitated their user research process, helping them identify key pain points around housing discrimination and roommate matching through persona development and competitive analysis. During the design iteration phase, I provided feedback on wireframe alternatives and style guide decisions, particularly around color palette choices and filter functionality. I mentored the team through their user testing methodology using Think Aloud Testing and structured interviews, then helped them synthesize feedback into actionable design improvements. My guidance on prototype refinement using ProtoPie resulted in a fully responsive final design that addressed critical usability issues identified during testing, including navigation improvements and enhanced interactive map functionality.
